Gionee has been launching quite a bit of smartphone lately. The Gionee X1s is their latest offering. Keep up with the trend of other Gionee phones, the Gionee X1s promises to have an excellent selfie camera alongside having a great battery life. Is it the best camera phone under Rs.20,000 you can buy in Nepal? Let’s find out!
For the tech-geeks out there, here’s a quick run-down of the specifications of the Gionee X1s:
- 5.2″ IPS 720p HD display
- Gorilla Glass 3 Protection
- 1.5GHz quad-core MT6737T CPU
- 3GB RAM
- 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture
- 13MP rear camera with Dual-Tone LED Flash
- Android Nougat with Amigo UI 4.0 on the top
- 16GB Internal Storage (expandable up to 256GB)
- Fingerprint Scanner with 0.3second unlock time
- Infrared Sensor for controlling home appliances
- 4000mAh battery
- Black, Gold and Deep Blue
That’s a lot of features that you are getting for a phone that costs below Rs.20,000. Though the MRP of the Gionee X1s is Rs.20,000, you can get the phone for as low as Rs.18,000 in the market!
When you look at the specs of the phone, you immediately realize, there are two things that stand out. The Camera and the Battery. Also, 3GB of RAM and Fingerprint scanner (that works extremely well) is a great bonus! We are yet to see any other smartphone with so much of features at such a great price point.
The tagline “Super Selfie, Super battery” is relevant here. The humongous 4000mAh battery on a 5.2″ 720p display is bound to last for days. What’s also notable is the fact that the front 16MP camera has f2.0 aperture which is good for taking selfies in even low-lit environment.
The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nouget. However, don’t expect Android Oreo to make its way into this phone. Gionee X1s runs on Amigo UI 4.0 which is their custom Nouget firmware.
All-in-all, the Gionee X1s is an excellent phone for its price. While you may not be a big fan of the MediaTek processor used in this phone, you are bound to love the phone overall. Again, the price of Gionee X1s in Nepal is Rs.19,999.
